The “Digital Humanities and the History of Slavery” was a workshop that aimed to enhance research, collaboration, and graduate training in the field of digital humanities and history. The first workshop took place on October 15-17, 2015 at Vanderbilt University in Nashville. The workshop was organized by Professor Jane Landers and was supported by a Vanderbilt University Central Discovery Grant Award, with additional support from the Robert Penn Warren Center for the Humanities and the Department of History.
