The last and concluding SHADD workshop took place on December 07 – 08, 2018 at York University in Toronto. Scholars from Africa, Americas and Europe came together to talk about their projects involving Digital Humanities, Public History and African diasporas. The aim of the workshop was to connect scholars to focus on the theoretical and methodological approaches of doing biographical research on enslaved men and women on the digital humanities turn. The Liberated Africans Project, born during the SHADD research program, had its website launched in this event under the address: www.freedomnarratives.org, with an introduction from Paul Lovejoy and Érika Melek Delgado.
